Course Evaluation

1.What do you like about blogging?
blogging is about sharing feelings and point of view in public eyes. I really likes this because I can shared thought and feelings with others.

2.What you do not like about blogging?
well, as I stated above, blogging is about sharing but it is kind of  hard to shared everything with others as we might have opinion and rather to keep it with in ourselves in order not to hurt others. I finds it obscene to have to blog every week, writing something that doesn’t really matter to me

3.What have you gained from blogging eg. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.
well, I’ve been blogging for past 5 years, but not really academically, so maybe I gain point of view from my fellow friends

4.How?
sharing input about the subject, sharing news, links that might helps us in our studies

5.What do you like about this course?
being in the computer lab, since the wireless connection in um quite slow being in the lab helps us to surf faster.

6.What you do not like about this course?
the inconsistency of the assignment, the workload and the instruction doesn’t really reflect what we are suppose to do.

7.What have you learnt from this course?
learn to be patience and follow instruction without any question asked.

8.What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?
when I first enrolled in this course I thought I would be the fun course regarding the title. We are able to come out with magnificent and applicable teaching aids that help to enhance our teaching and learning session in the future. But actually it was redundancy of the other subject which I actually enjoyed more.

9.What have u expected but do not learn from this course?
As I stated above, fun learning activity.

10.If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?

I don’t think im capable enough to comment more about this.

at the end of the journey

well for this session that is

this is the last class for our 14 weeks of session

and this is where our lecturer wrapping up everything

for the past 14 weeks

we have learnt to be an independent learner

venturing every scope of cyber world 

in order to help us to come out

with new and creative teaching aids

that will help in our teaching and learning session 

when we are a teacher in the future

learning to use all our senses

and manipulating our pupil's senses

in learning activity

using the sounds senses

the visual senses

the touch senses

taste the excitement in classroom

and smell the success of learning the language

with lecturer eyes on us

we learn

on how to be a well equip teacher

for our future student

13 is not that scary

scary no 13 is here

which mean we only hv another week left in our semester

wow

i cant believe its actually here.

this week

we had been expose to the publisher application

 it usually be found in Microsoft Office software

honestly

i had used it earlier in my schooling years

for paper making project

as i enrolled in information technology subject 

this application helps us in the paper making project

such as

card making

brocher making

poster

letter head

name card

and etc

i think, 

publisher is not the new application for MO

its ben there before with a different name

i remember when i was in primary school 

around the age of 10 

i used some application on MO to made a birthday card

and im pretty sure it wasnt publisher

maybe publisher is the upgrade of the application

ok back to what had we done in the classroom

we had a chance to explore more

in the objective of making publisher as the teaching aids for esl classroom

i was sitting at the back of my coursemate , louis

n i saw him, manipulating the application

in the making of the teaching aids

he made a templates of McD's coupon to be use in the classroom

isnt it brilliant?

he had give me an idea for my assignment 3, thanks a lot loulou!! 

the 12th week is here

and it is the time for us to submit our video..

it was done in pair,
i paired up with my best friend

and came out with video
entitle Friends

the real definition of friend
in our point of view :D
we had fun during the video making and im sure same as the others :D

in today class
we have the video viewing session
sharing our result of the hard work
lotta of interesting video
it was in very different genre as everyone is trying to show their personality
through the video...
sharing it had shows us that
we are each individual
similar but different in some other ways

the land down under have been visited with magnificent
mother nature phenomenon..
as for the photography lovers like me
it was a rare moments
and a picture perfect to captivating the nature's beauty..
the cause of this phenomenon
was the wind as they travel throughout out the pacific oceans and visit australia
the rare magnificent period was just after dawn around 7 am
when al the aussie have started they day...

as for my point of view
this phenomenon might created
respiratory illness
but as it happen in short period, it might not causing any harms
and till now
there is none harmful cases reported as the aftermath..
this might be due to the precaution steps taken for h1n1 or ILI
the aussie had been well protected from any illness from the dusk

sometimes,
just let the nature do their job,,
we might need to sit back and enjoy the moments

it was interesting as we can convery our creativity and emotional
through it
it would be my most looking forward task to complete :D

this week we learn about audio editing

we are reaching the climax of the semester
its the 6th week already
OMG
how times flies
this week mdm hv introduced to us the wonders of
e-book
its just like another paperback book
but instead its all inside the computer
lots of ways can be done to generate this
but
most important is:
save the environment
and it is interactive and obviously interesting!!!

this week we learn about micheal jackson!!
huhu kidding
we required to write steps for the internet skills
and our first task was searching for Mp3 song
happens to b micheal jackson last songs before his gone~
its all about print screen and making the manual of downloading Mp3
its to0ks more time than my usual methods of downloading

it is the new environment to me

the "u" turn

[this post strictly from my point of view as a student and future educator and the citizen of malaysia]

Have you ever been in the cross country race.. and you just wanted to quit after I say one quarter of the race? Well that is exactly what is happening now. The psmi have been dismissed by the ministry after 5 years of implementation. Really? Are you sure you want to quite the race? That would be the small voice you will heard when u decide to quit the cross country but then you will also heard another tiny voice said you think you can do it before right? Wasn’t’ U worked hard practicing for this race? Do you really wan to quit? Ok that would be the voice of the student who happens to be in the transition period and I would proudly announce that I was one of them.

Through out who eleven years of being the primary and secondary schooler, I learn the Science and Mathematics subject in BM and I am really telling you that it was a great moved in 2003 that the government implement the psmi. I was quite jealous of my junior where they can actually learn the subject I love in English.i was in form 5 that time. During my physic tuition classes, my teacher, who happens from the bom baby era keeps telling us how unlucky we are to learn it in bm since we wont b using it in matrix or uni since it would be all in English. Futher more, the theory and terms mainly used in science and math subject it mainly taken in English. Its either be direct translation or completely opposite. For example I don’t really understand why halaju is a. actually a is taken from acceleration and why it is sodium cloride in salt but we call it natrium Klorida? Confiusing? Yes it is~he also kindly pointed that our lesson is for the knowledge not solely for examination. Well that’s what we have in the future now aite? I, my self have face this situation, I learn the science subject in bm at school and now at uni, I need to learn the whole new basic things because the different use of terms and honestly it was like learning the whole new lesson back again.

Learning in English is not in term of the content only. As the language teacher I would like to point out that with the science and mathematic in English, the proficiency in the language will be improves. Why is it? with the use of English in the classroom for other subject, the amount student spent with the language increases and it will be another extrinsic motivation for them to acquire the language since they need the language in order to survive other subject. Hence at then end the level of proficiency will always be the same, the urban school student would be excellent in term of language compared with the rural area since the used of English language is exceptional. They only need it a few hour per week. If they are unable to learn the skills, they just listen their teacher babbling about in the classroom and go back home and forget the language altogether and the cycle keeps repeating.

Well that is my personal opinion about the whole thing. Frankly speaking I am disappointed with the whole new situation. Disappointing enough that my friends and I was looking for another country that use English as their second language and implement in science and mathematic subject [and we found it!! Korean used it!!] I just hope the government will discuss through about this issue because it is not just about me or my friends who enrolled in this programme [which one of their steps in the first place in psmi] but its about the future generation. The quality of their education and our vision of providing a well equip generation for the development of our nation. Isn’t it what our philosophy of education is all about?
